Whitney Houston’s estate will auction off personal items belonging to the singer and actress, including her 1986 Emmy for her performance at the 28th Annual Grammy Awards, which is estimated to sell for $ 10,000, Reuters reports.
Heritage Auctions, the Beverly Hills, California-based auction house, said that more than 100 pieces of Houston memorabilia will be sold in the two-day auction on June 24th and 25th.
“We felt that it was time to give something of Whitney to the people who loved her and her music and, conversely, who Whitney loved back with all of her heart and soul,” Pat Houston, the singer’s former manager and president of the Whitney Houston Estate, said in a statement.
Houston, an internationally famous pop star, struggled with substance addiction throughout her life and died in 2012 at the age of 48. She sold more than 170 million albums, singles and videos throughout her career.
