In the nighttime-shot video, with the Eiffel Tower illuminated golden yellow in the background, Rihanna admits to embarking on “the craziest thing I’ve ever done.” In this case, it’s running straight at a horde of Rihanna fans and eager paparazzi that have congregated at Trocadero Square for a chance encounter with the singer. A cacophony of flashbulbs and selfies ensues.
The brief “Goodnight Gotham” clip arrives a month after Rihanna dropped her otherworldly video for “Sledgehammer,” the singer’s contribution to the Star Trek Beyond soundtrack. Rihanna also recently revealed at a Comic-Con video that she will play the iconic role of Psycho victim Marion Crane in the upcoming season of Bates Motel.
Rihanna has also made plans to co-headline this year’s Global Citizen Fest at New York’s Central Park in September alongside Kendrick Lamar, Metallica and many more. The singer was also booked for the Made In America festival.
