Brooke Vincent’s transformed in front of our eyes on our soap screens [Wenn]
Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson is no stranger when it comes to TV drama.
Having appeared in both Emmerdale and Waterloo Road, the 24 year old certainly knows a thing or two about working on the nation’s favourite shows.
And now it looks like the star could be returning to our screens once more, in a Coronation Street role.
Appearing on This Morning, dance sensation George was quizzed by Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford on former BGT contestant Shayne Ward.
Praising the That’s My Goal singer, Eamonn asked: “When you look at someone like Shayne Ward and you see how brilliantly he’s done on Coronation Street – I think he’s a really good actor – are there ambitions to, you know act?”
Clearly enthusiastic about the question, George replied: “My dream job would to be to get onto Coronation Street.”
He confessed: “I watch it religiously, we literally set alarms to watch it.
“Tonight I’m in rehearsals until 6 o clock and it takes me an hour and a half to get back so I’ll just make it.”
Amused by the youngster’s dedication to the soap, 57 year old Ruth quipped: “It’s sad isn’t it”.
But George was having none of it, retorting: “It’s not sad! I love Coronation Street.”
In a bold move, the Warrington-born performer had appeared on the daytime show to reveal the results from a recent hair transplant.
Admitting he had spent £9,000 on the process so far, George explained how alopecia had led to hair loss.
He told the presenters: “I was diagnosed with alopecia… the head-spinning may have been part it.”
Citing footballer Wayne Rooney as his inspiration for the operation, the former Waterloo Road star said: “Wayne Rooney was 25 [when he had the hair transplant].
“He gave me a lot of confidence.”
